Gluten Free Product Demo Specialist - Part Time
As a Product Demonstration Specialist, you will conduct food demonstrations geared to create customer excitement about the demonstrated products. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers. An effective Product Demonstration Specialist generates excitement, brand awareness, and increases product sales through event sampling and promotions. The Event Specialist is responsible for reading all program materials, set up and breakdown of their working area, preparing and sampling products on scheduled event days.
Territories Open: Orange County, Long Beach, South Bay, W. LA, West Side, Malibu, South San Diego and North County.

Duties:
Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the product on your table and on the store shelves store look great at all times you are there. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service.
Conduct creative, well displayed, and attractive demos during busy times in the store, allowing customers to sample products, conveying excitement and a positive attitude with the products and company.
Setup and breakdown of demonstration event (demonstration cart provided; involves some pushing and physical work).
Execute demonstrations on scheduled date and time; prepare food, conduct sampling, engage audience, promote and educate consumers on products.
Ability to stand for a minimum of six (6) hours
Adhere to all scheduled demo commitments.
Contact stores to ensure that supplies necessary to run demos successfully.
Work closely with departmental managers to assure that necessary product is available at the time of the demonstration.
Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Build strong relationships with store managers and store customers.
Communicate demo information and schedule with store personnel.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Respond promptly to customer needs and questions and requests assistance when necessary.
Clean equipment and demonstration areas after use (clean individual cart and general demonstration area).
Report event success daily via our online reporting system.
Requirements:
High School or equivalent.
Experience in gluten free and food allergies desirable.
Experience in event marketing, demonstrations or retail/grocery is highly desirable.
Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Ability to understand and complete required paperwork.
Friendly, knowledgeably and enthusiastically communicate the product line to the customer.
Reliable transportation to/from your specified location is required
Must have access to a computer and a phone
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with store customers and store leadership. Willingness and ability to creatively and analytically find solutions to problems.
Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Able to prioritize efficiently.
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects.
Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted and able to push and pull carts with product weighing up to 75 pounds.
